Why do my eyes look freaky in certain photos?

I've had some photos taken recently, and on a couple of them my eyes look really scary, quite freaky (no - this is not how i normally look!!!) i've heard that eyes looking odd in photos can be an indication of something....some sort of illness?? HELP!!Why do my eyes look freaky in certain photos?
It may just be the camera, lighting or ';red eye'; and you have nothing to worry about. Has anyone else ever told you that your eyes are changing or looking different? Have you ever had your thyroid tested or do you have a family history of thryoid problems? The camera never lies!!!!!!!! it's because your eyes are freaky.
white around the pupil could be heart problems. but if your eyes are reddish its probably just the flash. stop worrying you will make yourself ill
its probably the lighting.i look really scary in some of my photos!im sure there is no illness involved-if there was,it wouldnt show up in a photo!!
Having your eyes checked out could be the only way to find out whether they are healthy or not. Many photos come out with red eyes, so possibly think of a camera that offers red eye reduction. When having your photo taken stare at the camera instead of looking away. Many of the photos that i have of me look stupid when i am not staring at the camera.
IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU SAW IN THEM IN THE PHOTO.YOUR EYES SHOULD LOOK RED IN THE RETINA,IF NOT GO TO YOUR OPTICIAN.
