It is a very good question. I think it's perhaps how McCain deals with an opponent in general.This is just how his mind works. He clearly has a lot of hostility towards Barrack and obviously felt threatened. My concern is that McCain would bring this same insecurity to any other negotiations. If elected, he would of course have to deal with many ';hostile'; leaders.


McCain has the wrong temperament to lead our country. Projecting hatred and rage at an oppenent won't fly on the world stage. Maybe he would of worked out in say 1958 but in 2008 he is clearly the wrong choice. Why didn't John McCain look Barack Obama in the eye yesterday?
Great question. Not only did he not make eye contact with Obama, he turned his back on him when Obama spoke. Obama went out of his way to be courteous, polite and statesman-like while McCain looked like a fat, grumpy old man with anger issues and showed a great deal of disrespect towards the person who won his party's nomination to run for President. Now you see where he gets his bad reputation from. He was rude and arrogant.





Not only did he disrespect Obama, he disrespected the millions of American citizens who voted for him. If Obama had acted like that I would have to reconsider voting for him. It shows a total lack of interpersonal skills and ability to engage in conversation.





I see it like this:





The Sub dog never looks the Alpha dog in the face when the Alpha dog is ready to chew a s s until the Alpha dog releases him because the Sub dog is averse to such an a s s chewing.
Because he's an idiot who knew Barack Obama was totally slaughtering him. Because he's disrespectful. Because all of his points were just random babbling about more war that this country doesn't need, and Obama's were actually making sense.





A number of reasons. Too many to list, but I think these sum it up nicely.
One of his former campaign advisors from his previous election said that McCain's mentality is that his opponent is his archenemy--and develops hatred for them. McCain also has a terrible temper. He clearly does not like Obama and has difficulty keeping that fact under wraps.
McCain appeared to me to be an angry old man, with a smirk on his face, deliberately avoiding looking at Senator Obama. Doesn't the word ';immature'; come to mind? I can sense his hate for Obama, but I don't know why he hates him. It could be envy of Obama's intelligence, his youth, his charisma, his looks or even a race issue. Only McCain knows for sure!
Why is Obama's opponent's inability the only talking point his supporters can come away after 90 minutes of debate? What's up with that???





Don't they have any positive points to bring out about how supports the Bush bailout of Wall Street? How about when the Jim Lehrer had to keep asking the same question over and over because he couldn't answer questions about spending cuts no matter how it was phrased. All he could do was list new programs he wanted to create? What's up with that???





Are you proud of all the comments he made about how he doesn't trust American capitalism and the free market? What's up with that???





How about when he said he knew the difference between a strategy and a tactic but then couldn't go on to tell the difference? What's up with that???





Why didn't you call the DNC headquarters and ask if they have a new talking point yet? Maybe something of actual substance.





Why didn't you look and see that this question was asked over 100 times? What's up with that???
He's probably feeling pretty bad about his part in the Dem's legislative screw up over the last couple days. Other than that he's an elitist, super rich, trying to pretend he knows how the rest of us have to live. Pretty embarrassing to have to debate the son of a hard working woman.
He can't look defeat right in the eyes.





He'll never accept the fact that he lost.

Because he is a disrespectful, condescending man who feels he is entitled to the presidency and he is angry that a younger man is giving him a run for his money.
He was addressing the audience, just like Obama, who by the way called John McCain by the wrong name 3 times.
McCain hates Communists and Marxist Socialists.


He doesn't want to associate with them and has no respect for tyrants.
Because Obama has this power to make those who watch him turn STUPID.





This was just a self-defense move by McCain.
It's hard to look somebody in the eye when your lying through your teeth.
May be because he does not fall, because it is racist! (not the kind of man does it)!!!

See McCain can actually think for himself and doesn't have a script presented to him from his advisors. That's why he jots down notes. Obama didn't have to because his entire debate was scripted before hand.
